Campbell Apartment

campbell apartment

Campbell Apartment is an historic cocktail bar located in Grand Central’s southwest corner. The main entrance for the Campbell is actually outside of the Station on Vanderbilt Avenue. The space is named after John W. Campbell, a financier who used the space as an office.

We stopped at Campbell Apartment for post dinner cocktails and had a wonderful time. The server kindly arranged for us to have a table in the mezzanine area; he gave us a little tour of the space and pointed out some of the amazing architectural details. The ambience is very dark almost prohibition style; you are surrounded by leaded glass windows and rich wood trim. The interiors, teamed with a dark atmosphere, create a quiet and intimate space in the middle of the Grand Central. A great place to enjoy an extremely well prepared drink and find some peace in the hustle and bustle of NYC. 15 Vanderbilt Ave, New York, NY – USA

NY – Christmas windows

NY 5th

During the Christmas season, tourists descend on major cities like New York with holiday-window viewing at the top of their agendas.

Along Fifth Avenue from 55th to 58th Streets you can find (1) Henri Bendel a fashion and accessories boutique that often has New York City-inspired holiday windows. From 57th to 58th Streets (2) Bergdorf Goodman‘s windows are famous for their opulence and the sophisticated details. Last but not least (3) Tiffany and Co always has timeless holiday windows that fill the world with sparkle.
