This week I went back home to Milan, this was the first time I had to book an hotel in the city … and it was not easy. I ended up staying at the Palazzo Parigi and I could not be happier. Palazzo Parigi is located on the site of the historical Palazzo Kramer, which was destroyed during the Second World War. The hotel is well situated in a high end and quiet area of Milan, near to everything but away from the tourist hordes. This luxurious hotel is characterised by a tasteful blend of Milanese and Parisian design; all areas are nicely decorated in a classical and elegant style.
At my arrival the suite was prepared with complementary Champaign and strawberry with chocolate. I stayed in the deluxe corner room on the 6th floor, and it exceeded all my expectations. The room has floor to ceiling windows on both sides that open to balconies overlooking the city. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable that I didn’t even realize I was not in my bed. Wonderful blackout curtains, controlled from the bed, seal off the windows. This room was of the quietest I ever been: I did not hear any sound from another room or a cart rolling down the hall. The bathroom is fully stocked of Clarins products and has both a tub and walk in rain shower. The Moroccan style spa is on the third floor and has a covered swimming pool as well as private pool that can be booked in advance.
Palazzo Parigi provided an heavenly oasis: it is elegant and homelike at the same time.
